ADMISSION NOTICE
Prospectus-cum-Application Form for admission to Diploma in Education D.Ed/
D.Ed. (Urdu) Course for the residents of Haryana only will be available in the office of
the Director, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Haryana,
Gurgaon and all the District Institute of Education & Training (DIETs) in the concerned
districts and in the districts having no DIETs ( Jhajjar, Palwal, Fatehabad and Mewat) the
prospectus will be available in the office of the District Education Officer concerned
from 16-06-2011 during office hours on cash payment of Rs 300/- (Rupees Three
Hundred only) for General Category candidates and Rs. 75/-(Rupees Seventy Five Only)
for SC & BC. Candidates are advised to apply on the application form meant for their
own category.
Application form, complete in all respects, should reach the office of Director, S.C.E.R.T.
Haryana, Gurgaon by 30-06-2011 upto 5.00 p.m. Application form after the scheduled
date and time will not be received under any circumstances.

List of Institutions:
The list of Institutions offering D.Ed. / D.Ed. (Urdu) two year academic courses with
Internship is given below. It is purely tentative. The institutions and their intake capacity
can be increased / decreased at the time of counselling subject to the approval of the
National Council for Teacher Education, Jaipur (Northern Region)

Eligibility:
(A) The admission will be open to bonafide residents of Haryana only.
(B) The minimum Education Qulification for Admission to these courses is as follows:-
(i) Diploma-in-Education (D.Ed)
• A candidate should have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) examination from
Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani or its equivalent, securing 50%
marks for General category and 45 % for SC and BC category in aggregate with
five subjects including English as one of the subjects passed.
• Passed Hindi/Sanskrit subject in Matriculation Examination
(ii) Diploma in Education (Urdu):- D.Ed. (U)
In addition to the qualification prescribed as at (i) above for Diploma in Education
(D.Ed) the candidate should have passed Urdu in Secondary (10th class) Examination
from the Board of School Education Haryana Bhiwani or any other board having
equivalence of their examination with the Board of School Education, Haryana, Bhiwani.
Note :
1. A candidate having higher qualification will not be entitled to any additional benefit
whatsoever he/she will have to fulfill the requisite prescribed qualification and other
eligibility conditions.
2. The eligibility of a candidate (as on 30.06.2011) for admission shall be verified at the
time of admission/counselling.
Admission Procedure:
The Merit List will purely be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in
10+2 examination streamwise (Arts, Science, Commerce & Vocational) and distribution
of seats will be as under:-
Streamwise % of seats allotted
Science 35 %
Commerce 28 %
Arts 35 %
Vocational 02 %


Note:
1. If the seats in Science stream remain vacant, these will be converted into Commerce
Stream and vice versa.
2. If in all three- stream (Science, Commerce and Vocational Education) seats remain
Vacant, these will be converted into Arts stream seats.

Stream Subjects: (
Required Five subjects)
1. Science-
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science, Bio-Technology,
Agriculture.
English (compulsory) and at least any three out of the following subjects:-

Business Studies, Commerce, Accountancy, Enterpreneurship, Mathematics,
Economics, Computer Science
English (compulsory) and at least any three out of the following subjects:-

6.Geography 7. Sanskrit/ Urdu / Punjabi 8. Home Science 9. Sociology 10. Fine Arts

English (compulsory) and at least any three out of the following subjects:-

Affiliated by the Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani or any Technical
Diploma approved by Technical Education Department Haryana or its equivalent.
English (compulsory) and all other basic subjects in Vocational Institutes
Note:

Further:-
(1) A candidate belonging to Reserve Category should clearly mention the category
he/she belongs to so that he/ she could be given the benefit of reservation as per Haryana
Govt. instructions issued from time to time.
(2) A candidate belonging to reserve category will first be considered in Open (General)
Category. In case he/she is not selected in open (general) category, he / she will then be
considered for reserve category in the relative merit of that category to which he/she
belongs.
(3) Children or grand children (maternal or paternal) claiming the benefit of
fighter
issued by the Chief Secretary Haryana and also produce the relationship certificate from
the Deputy Commissioner of the district concerned. Furthermore, it is clarified that only
one candidate can avail the benefit of freedom fighter from their grandparent certificate
in an academic year. If it is found lateron that more than one candidate have taken the
benefit, the admission of such candidates will be cancelled.
(4) The entitlement of reservation towards
dependent child. The candidate belonging to this category should submit a fresh
certificate to this effect from Secretary, Zila Sainik/Soldiers Board of the district he/she
belongs to and an affidavit/undertaking from the parents of the candidate to this effect.
(5) For the purpose of reservation, the
i.e. Block A and Block B. (See Annexure 1)
(6) The benefit of reservation shall not apply to socially advanced persons/sections
