Hisar, June 9
Over 150 students, who appeared in the senior secondary examination of the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE), are in a quandary on being asked to re-appear in their English paper.
Some board officials visited Muklan, Bandaheri and some other neighbouring villages of Hisar yesterday and announced that the students whose result had been delayed due to the misplacement of some answersheets would have to appear in their English exam again on June 21.
"What is our fault?" asked a girl student from Muklan, whose result had been withheld along with others. "Our careers have been put at risk due to no fault of ours. We are not sure whether we will be able to get admission in the next class ," she feared.
The affected students' parents have also castigated the board for putting their wards' future at stake due to its negligence. Some of them are planning to move the court.
HBSE chairman KC Bhardwaj maintained that a bundle of answersheets had been lost in the evaluation process. Hence, the board was left with no other option but to ask the affected students to take the paper again.
"The exam will be held on June 21 and the result will be declared in the first week of July," Bhardwaj said
