ASSESSMENTS FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2015-16 FOR CLASSES I TO VIII

SCHEDULE OF MONTHLY, HALF YEARLY AND ANNUAL ASSESSMENT FOR CLASSES I TO VIII

DETAIL DESIGN OF MONTHLY, HALF YEARLY AND ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS
CLASSES-I and II
Monthly Assessment
Total Marks : 10
Time : 45 Minutes
Design : Assessment will be in the form of assignment based on Pictorial Type, Matching Type, Recognize Type,
Colouring Type questions etc.
Half Yearly Assessment
Total Marks : 20
Time : 60 Minutes
Design : Assessment will be in the form of assignment based on Pictorial Type, Matching Type, Recognize Type,
Colouring Type questions etc.
Annual Assessment
Total Marks : 30
Time : 75 Minutes
Design : Assessment will be in the form of assignment based on Pictorial Type, Matching Type, Recognize Type,
Colouring Type questions etc.
Final Result :
Total Marks for:
Monthly Assessment 10 x 7 = 70 marks to be converted into 10 Marks for Annual Result (Dividing factor 7).
For example, if a student scores 50 mark out of 70 in all monthly Assessments. Then 50 will be divided by 7 = 50/7 = 7.1 round off to 7 marks which will be taken in his/her final results towards Monthly Assessment.
Half Yearly Assessment 20 marks to be converted into 10 Marks for Annual Result (Dividing factor 2).
For Example, if a student scores 18 marks out of 20 in Half Yearly Assessments. Then 18 will be divided by 2 = 18/2 = 9 marks which will be taken in his/her final results towards Half Yearly Assessment.
Annual Assessment 30 marks
For Example, if a student scores 26 marks out of 30 in Annual Assessment. Then 26 marks will be taken in his/her final results towards Annual Assessment.
CCE Marks
CCE will have total 50 marks which include following four components
Oral assignment = 15 Marks,
Workbook = 15 Marks,
Class room participation= 10 Marks
Attendance = 10 Marks
For Example, if a student scores 42 marks out of 50 in all CCE Components. Then 42 marks will be taken in his/her final results towards CCE Assessment.

Thus, for total 100 marks, 10 marks will come from all Monthly Assessments, 10 marks will come from half Yearly Assessment, 30 marks will come from Annual Assessment and 50 marks will come from CCE i.e. oral assignments, work done in workbook, classroom participation and attendance.
