HTET syllabus PRT TGT PGT 2018-2019: HTET is must to get a job in Haryana. To qualify HTET it is very important to know HTET syllabus and exam pattern. This Haryana teacher eligibility test is first taken in the time of  Hudda Govt. HTET is taken to maintain the teachers standard in education department i.e. qualified, intelligent and good knowledge teachers. In HTET there is no option of rechecking/ re-evaluation. HTET is mandatory for teaching jobs in the state and CTET in the centre. The validity of HTET is 5 years when the HTET certificate issued.

Syllabus and exam pattern for PRT HTET 

Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani  will organize HTET 2017 for PRT (Primary teacher ) on dated ........... coming soon  
There are 150 Multiple Choice Questions(MCQs) each carries 1 mark with four alternatives
Duration of examination: 2:30 hours.

Structure and Content (All Compulsory)

  • (i) Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs 30 Marks
  • (ii) Language I (Hindi) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
  • (iii) Language II (English) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
  • (iv) Mathematics 30 MCQs 30 Marks
  • (v.) Environmental Studies 30 MCQs 30 Marks

NATURE AND STANDARD OF QUESTIONS

  • (i)-The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
  • (ii)- The Test items for Language – I (Hindi) will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction.
  • (iii) The Language II (English) will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
  • (iv) The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem-solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of the subjects. 

                                                  In all these subject areas, the test items shall be evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject prescribed for classes I-V by the Education Department, Govt. of Haryana.


The types of questions in the tests for Level-I will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus for classes I-V, but their difficulty standard, as well as linkages, could be upto the secondary stage.


Conclusion of HTET PRT syllabus-

The topic will be from 1st to 5th class but there difficulty level and linkages (संबंद्ध ) will be up to 10th class.

QUALIFYING MARKS for HTET :
  • For all Categories except Scheduled Castes and Differently abled/Physically Challenged 
          60% (90 Marks)
  • For Scheduled Castes and Differently abled/Physically Challenged of Haryana Domicile :
           55% (83 Marks)
  • For Scheduled Castes and Differently abled/Physically Challenged of Other State
          60% (90 Marks)
NEGATIVE MARKING HTETThere shall be no negative marking.

Timing 10.30 AM to 01.00 PM (Two-and-a-half hour)
LANGUAGE OF QUESTION PAPERS FOR HTET PRT
  • All questions except those concerning language subjects will be bilingual i.e. Hindi and English
Validity Period of HTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be five years from the date of issue of qualifying certificate
  • (ii) There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring HTET Certificate.
  • (iii) Candidates who have already qualified STET will have the option to appear in the fresh HTET to improve their score if they so desire.
If the candidate will study according to the syllabus given above there will be more chance to qualify.

The duration of the examination will be two and a half hours. They will focus on understanding the characteristics, needs and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
  • The test items for language I (Hindi) will focus on the proficiency related to the medium of instruction relevant to the age group of 14-17 years.
  • The Language II (English) will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities relevant to the age group of 14-17 years.
  • The test items in subject specific will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of these subjects. The test items shall be evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject as prescribed for classes IX-XII by the Board of School Education Haryana.
  • The questions in the test will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus of the Board of School Education Haryana for classes IX-XII but their difficulty standard as well linkages could be up to the Post-Graduate level.
HTET Qualifying Criteria FOR PRT TGT PGT
(i) FOR SCHEDULED CASTE CANDIDATES:55% (83 out of 150)
(ii) FOR ALL OTHER CATEGORIES CANDIDATES:60% (90 out of 150)
There shall be no negative marking.

Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test, also known as HTET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is conducted to find eligibility of the candidates for teacher posts like PGT, TGT, PRT teachers. The test is mandatory for

getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India. Candidates who have done with their +2 or Graduation or Post Graduation are eligible to apply for the HTET. Those who qualify this test will become eligible to apply for Govt Jobs of teachers. Most states conduct their own TET. The Board of School Education, Haryana (HBSE) is responsible for conducting HTET examinations every year in Haryana state.
