While stating this here on Friday, an official spokesman said that under the bank assisted schemes, families in rural areas with annual income of less than Rs 40,500 would be considered Below Poverty Line (BPL). Similarly, families in urban areas with annual income of less than Rs 51,500 would also be considered as BPL.
He said under National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation assisted schemes, families in rural areas with annual income of less than Rs 81,000 and in urban areas with annual income less than Rs 1,03,000 would be considered Double Below Poverty Line (DPL). -- PTI sourcewww.facebook.com/teacherharyana
