Benefits for an employee after death
*🔽1) Exgratia grant of Rs One lakh to be paid within one month.
*🔽2) GIS insurance Rs 15/30/60/120 thousand and his /her deposits.
*🔽3) Gratuity equal to last emoluments ( B pay + D A) in case death occurred :-
*A) before 1 Year service = 2 months
*B) 1 year or < 5 year = 6 months
*C) 5 Year or < 24 Year = 12 months
*D) > 24years service = normal rate as on retirement.
*🔽4) If employee has salary account than in case of normal death insurance of Rs 2 lakh and in case of accidental death Rs 30 lakh.
*Accidental death of family member Rs 5 lakh by Bank but the claim should be put within 90 days.
*🔽5) GPF to his / her dependent.
*🔽6) Leave encasement equal to in record but Max 300 days.
*🔽7) Pension at enhanced rate up to 10 years after the date of death ( 50% ) and thereafter 30%.
*🔽8) HRA equal to last drawn amount up to one year after death under rule 16 of HCS ( allowances) Rules 2016 .
*🔽9) Compassionate M. F. A. :
*A) for 15 years if death before 35 year of age.*
*B) for 12 years or up-to date of superannuation if death on age of 35 years or before 48 years of age.
*C) for 7 years or up-to date of superannuation if death on or after age of 48 years.*
*▶️Note :- Date of superannuation is 60 years for D group and 58 years for others.

*Compassionate appointment
*🛑In addition of above all pending amounts will also be paid by DDO / department to his / her legal heirs
*🛑Compassionate appointment benefit can be availed only if the employee has minimum 5 years of regular service and has has not attained the age of 52 years.
*🛑Loans / advances and interest thereon are waived off in case of death or missing C and D group employees as below :-
*A) marriage, cycle, wheat and festive advances.
*B) First HBA and computer advance if not more than one surviving family members are in service .
*C) Scooter / Motor cycle advance if death occurs due to accident.
*🛑The following benefits are also applicable in case of death or missing of a govt employee during FMA :-
*A) Fixed medical allowance and reimbursement for medical expenses.
*B) Children Education allowance upto class 10+2 for 2 eldest children, this allowance is given upto his superannuation age either he receives MFA or not. After 10+2 tuition fee and laboratory fee are also reimbursed up to degree level. This benefit is given only if the spouse of deceased is not in govt service.l
