01. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission, Ajmer invites Online Application Form for the State
Eligibility Test for Lectureship in following subjects :-

02- CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY:
I. Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master's Degree OR
equivalent examination from University/Institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including
languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science and Application, Earth Science, Population
Studies, Education etc. are eligible for this Test. The Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/
Physically Handicapped (PH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) category candidates who have secured at
least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master's degree or equivalent examination are eligible for
this Test.
II. Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master's degree (final year)
examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have
been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally
and shall be considered eligible for Lectureship eligibility only after they have passed their Master's
degree examination or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH/VH category
candidates). Such candidates must complete their P.G. degree examination within two years from
the date of SET result with required percentage of marks failing which they shall be treated as
disqualified.
III. The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master's level examination had been completed by 19th
September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of
5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.
IV. Candidates are required to appear in subject of their post-graduation only. In case the subject
of a candidate is not included in the list of SET subjects, the candidate may appear in UGC
NET/UGC-CSIR NET which is held twice a year.
03- VALIDITY:- For lectureship eligibility, the SET certificate is valid for that particular state only and
forever. Recruitment to the post of lecturer may be made from among the SET qualified candidates by
Universities/Colleges/ Recruitment Agencies as per their prescribed procedures and Rules &
Regulations.
04- AGE LIMIT : There is no upper age limit.
05- EXAMINATION FEE AND MODE OF PAYMENT:-
The candidate should submit his/her examination fees through E-Mitra Kiosk, C.S.C. Center
authorized by the Raj. Govt. The Category wise Fee are as under :-
(a) For BC/SBC(Creamy layer) of Rajasthan state and General Candidates : Rs. 650/-
(b) For BC/SBC (Non-Creamy layer) of Rajasthan state Candidates : Rs. 350/-
(c) For SC/ST of Rajasthan state and All the PH /VH Candidates : Rs. 200/-
The fee should be paid through E-Mitra Kiyosk, C.S.C. Center authorized by the Raj. Govt.
Payment of fee in any other mode will not be accepted. Fee once paid will neither be refunded nor

adjusted against fee payable for any other examination conducted by the commission under any
circumstances.
06- HOW TO APPLY: - The applicant should fill up the online application form according to his/her
relevant category for which he/she is eligible.
Note:- The creamy layer candidates of backward class/Special backward class of Rajasthan and the
SC/ST/OBC/S.B.C. (creamy layer/Non-creamy layer) candidates other than Rajasthan, come into
General category. A candidate is advised to fill the Online Application according to his/her relevant
category.
07- APPLICATION PROCESS: - Application will be accepted online, which can be filled up through e-
Mitra Kiosk or C.S.C. authorized by state Govt. The candidate should pay a sum of Rs. 40/- (Rs. 30/-
for filling of the application form + Rs. 10/- for depositing of examination fee) in addition to
examination fee. Candidate can fill up his application form at his own level on www.
rpsconline.rajasthan.gov.in, after depositing examination fee at e-mitra kiosk/CSC. The Proforma
and instruction for filling the Online Application Form is available on the commission’s website.
Note: - Before his/her final submission of online application, the applicant should take a print-out of
the filled up application form for his/her record and to ensure that all the entries have been filled by
him/her correctly.
08- SCHEME OF TEST:
(1) The examination will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only Objective Type
questions as under:-

Paper- I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.
It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general
awareness of the candidate.
Paper- II & III shall consist Objective type questions based on the subject selected by the candidate.
(2) The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper -II and Paper-III as
given blow :

Only such candidates who obtain the minimum required marks in each Paper, separately, as
mentioned above, will be considered for final preparation of result.
(3) There will be no negative marking.
(4) A candidate who does not appear in paper-I, will not be permitted to appear in paper-II and paper-III.
(5) For Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates thirty minutes extra time shall be provided separately for
paper - I and paper - II. For Paper - III forty five minutes extra time shall be provided. They will also
be provided the services of a scribe who would be a graduate in a subject other than that of the
candidate. Those Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates who are not in a position to write in their
own hand writing can also avail these services by making prior request (at least one week before the
date of SET) in writing to the centre superintendent. Extra time and facility of scribe would not be
provided to other Physically Handicapped candidates.
(6) In case of any discrepancy found in the English and Hindi version, the questions in English version
shall be taken as final.
09- SYLLABUS OF TEST: The syllabi for all the papers is that of UGC/CSIR, NET examination. For
science subjects viz. Life Science, Chemical Science, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Science, the
paper I will be according to syllabi of UGC-NET, the Paper II will be from the syllabi of Section (B) of
paper I of CSIR and paper III will be from the syllabi of paper II of CSIR. The syllabi may be obtained
from the following websites:-

2) UGC (NET): www.ugc.ac.in
3) CSIR (NET): www. csirhrdg.res.in
10- TEST CENTERS:
I. The Test will be held on following centers.The candidate has to select one out of them:-
AJMER, BHARATPUR, BIKANER, JAIPUR, JODHPUR, KOTA & UDAIPUR.
Note:- The Commission has the right to allot any center other than the selected centre without
assigning reason. Admission Card alongwith Attendance Sheet will be uploaded on Website
before Exam and candidate may appear in Exam by downloading it.

II. No request for change of center will be entertained under any circumstances. However, the
Commission has the right to allot any center than that selected by the candidates without assigning
reason.
11- LAST DATE :
The last date for receipt of dully filled ONLINE APPLICATION FORM in the office of Rajasthan
Public Service Commission, Ajmer shall be 30-06-2012 up to 12.00 PM . Application received after
the closing date and specified time shall not be entertained by the Commission in any case.
12- GENERAL INSTRUCTION :
I. Admission Cards for the test containing the time-table will be uploaded on the website of the
commission i.e. www.rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. about two weeks before the commencement of the test.
The candidates are advised to Download Admission Card from the above website. The candidates
should bring any of his additional Identity Cards containing his/her photo.
II. Candidates are advised to fill in all the columns correctly in Online Application Form. Information
given by them are read and entered as such by the computer itself and will be taken as final. No
further communication in this regard will be entertained by the Commission.
III. The candidates should note that their candidature for the test shall be PROVISIONAL. No candidate
shall be permitted to the test unless he/she holds a valid admission card for the test.
IV. The use of calculator / Log tables / Cellular / Mobile phone / Pager etc. are not allowed inside the
examination hall.
V. All disputes arising and pertaining to the conduct of these tests shall fall within the jurisdiction of the
Rajasthan High Court at Jaipur bench only.
VI. No. T.A. will be paid to candidates.
VII. In all matters, the decision of the Commission shall be final.
VIII. Candidates will not be allowed to write any question from the Test Booklet on the Admission Card
or on any other paper etc.
IX. The commission may change the center (s) or date of examination without assigning any reason.
IX. The candidate should note in particular that if he/she is allotted the same center for the SET exam. in
which he/she is employed, he/she should bring it to the notice of center superintendent and
Commission immediately for reallocation.
X. The candidates must affix their recent passport size photograph (all photographs must be from the
same negative) at the decided place indicated in the Application Form and should sign across the
photograph at the top after it is affixed so that part of the signature spreads over the Application
Form beyond the photograph, otherwise it will be rejected. Besides, photograph must be duly
attested by the Head of the department or any Gazetted Officer.
XI. The candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at their Master's Degree Final Examination
must get the 'Attestation' given at the bottom of the Application Format signed by the Head of the
Institution / Department
13- CHECK LIST :
Verify the following points before mailing the application:-
I. That you fulfill the eligibility conditions for the test prescribed under the heading 'Conditions of
Eligibility' in Para - 02.
II. That you have filled in all the columns of the RECRUITMENT FORM ONLINE APPLICATION
FORM and Application Form correctly and no column has been left blank.
III. That you have filled the name and code number of the subject and test centre given in Para - 01 and
10 (I) respectively.
IV. That you have filled in your Community Status correctly in the columns.
V. Don't forget to put your Photo and Signatures on the Application Form.
14- NOTE: - Before submission of the Online Application Form, the candidate should read the Detailed
Notification Carefully, the candidate can download it from “www.rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.” or obtained
from the 15-06-2012 edition of the Rajasthan Rojgar Sandesh, Jaipur. For any other guidance/
information/clarification regarding this test please contact with Commission’s special counter or
contact on Telephone No. 0145-5151200 and 5151240.
CAUTION
1. BEFORE MAILING THE ONLINE APPLICATION, SATISFY YOURSELF, THAT YOU HAVE
FULLY VERIFIED ALL THE POINTS OF 'CHECK LIST' GIVEN IN PARA - 13, FAILING
WHICH THE APPLICATION MAY BE LIABLE FOR REJECTION.
2 CANVASSING IN ANY FORM WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION OF THE CANDIDATE.
