Hero group launches university

GURGAON: The Hero Group announced the launch of the BML Munjal University (BMU) on Thursday, setting the stage for one of the biggest higher-education initiatives this region has seen in a long time. With multiple courses on offer, the BMU, according to its creators, 'aspires to transform higher education for the better'.

"The focus will be practical-oriented education, and to foster employability and a range of life skills among students," said Sunil Kant Munjal, joint MD, Hero MotoCorp. The university campus, located in Sidhrawali village near Manesar, will be equipped with residential facilities as well as with 'industry-promoted 'Centres of Excellence,' where the students will be exposed to the latest technology platforms, real-life projects and hands-on learning.'
