Third agriculture college is to be set up in Haryana

The Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU) has decided to set up its third agriculture college in Haryana from the current academic session. The college would come up at
Bawai which is at Rewari district in the Regional Research Station of the Institute. The news was given by a university spokesperson to the media.
The decision of setting up the college was taken in a meeting of Academic Council which took place under the able chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor of the University K S Khokhar. The university has colleges in Hisar and Kaul where it is spreading agricultural education among the aspiring students. The Registrar of the university M S Dahiya said that the college would offer a four-year BSc (Hons) programme in agriculture.
For the new college to be set up at Bawai, counseling for the students would be done through the same which happens for the rest of the two colleges. The new college would offer 25 seats for the agricultural programme as BSc (Hons) in agriculture and the counseling of the students would take place on 23 July for the college along with the other colleges in Hisar and Kaul.
Like every other government colleges the new college would also have reservations for SC/ST/OBC candidates and other categories as per the rules. This new agricultural college is expected to provide quality agriculture education among the youth of the state and make candidates take interest in the subject to further utilize the same in future for agricultural benefits of the country.
