HC relief for 9,455 JBT teachers

In a major relief to 9,455 JBT teachers selected during the previous Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress government, the Punjab and Haryana High Court today asked the state to complete their verification process within 10 weeks for paving the way for their appointment.
The High Court orders came during the hearing of a petition filed by 133 guest JBT teachers from Mewat ordered to be removed by the state government. Putting a stop to the process of their removal till the appointment of regular JBT teachers, the High Court directed the Haryana Government to speed up the process of technical verification of already selected candidates and complete it within 10 weeks so that they could be issued appointment letters.
