In order to achieve precision and get timely data pertaining to list of candidates (LOC) for Class IX-XII of schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the deadline for online registration has been extended to September 30. The earlier deadline was September 20 but the board extended it after requests from various schools and keeping in mind the huge number of data to be fed online.
Since last year the CBSE has also scrapped the practice of schools sending submission details of candidates to the regional office, which in Maharashtra's case would be the Chennai office. The online registration system is helping CBSE streamline various processes and curb, as TOI reported earlier this week, malpractices at some schools. Multi-branch schools which did not get affiliation for their newest branch would shift students in Class X to their oldest one. However, with online registration the CBSE will weed out such issues.
For online submission, the link 'Online List of Candidates for Academic Session 2013-14' is to be clicked on the website www.cbse.nic.in. For registering, the schools have to use their affiliation number as user ID and password (same which they used last year for online registration). The schools should take a printout of the instructions and procedure given on the website and read them carefully before submission of details of candidates. It is compulsory for all CBSE schools to submit the details of all candidates who are on roll for the academic session.
Demand draft for the requisite fee (examination fee + late fee if any + migration fee + PSA fee) shall be made in favour of the secretary, CBSE, drawn on any nationalized bank payable at the place of regional office of the Board under whose jurisdiction the school is located. School No, name and address, principal's name and phone number should be written on the flip side of the demand draft.
Final LOC with candidate's signature along with demand draft and duly filled and signed certificate of principal should reach the director for regional office, Delhi, and the regional officer, regional office concerned, within stipulated date.
